Agatha Christie And Then There Were None

(4.7 Sterne; 164 Bewertungen)

And Then There Were None is Agatha Christie's famous detective story without a detective. First published in 1939, it tells the tale of ten guests who are separately invited to an island by a person none of them knows very well. When they arrive, it seems they have all been invited for different reasons, and nothing quite adds up.

An anonymous voice accuses each of them of having murdered someone, and by the end of the first night, one of the guests is dead. Stranded by a violent storm and tormented by the nursery rhyme 'Ten Little Soldier Boys', the guests fear for their lives. Who is the killer? Is it one of them?

'“But if a wicked person turns away from all the sins they have committed and keeps all my decrees and does what is just and right, that person will surely live; they will not die. None of the offenses they have committed will be remembered against them. Because of the righteous things they have done, they will live. Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Sovereign Lord. Rather, am I not pleased when they turn from their ways and live? “But if a righteous person turns from their righteousness and commits sin and does the same detestable things the wicked person does, will they live? None of the righteous things that person has done will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness they are guilty of and because of the sins they have committed, they will die.' Ezekiel 18:21-24 'If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.' Romans 10:9
